A cyberattack can stop your business. Confusion can keep it stopped.
Ransomware can stop your operations. Email compromise can divert your payments. A data breach can put your customers’ trust at risk. Through BreachReady, our annual preparedness and response program, we help you prepare before the pressure is real. We build your plan, rehearse decisions with your team and guide improvements throughout the year.
Know your plan, practice it together and know who to call.

THE BUSINESS IS WHAT’S AT STAKE
The attack creates a crisis. An unprepared response can compound it.
When your systems or information are at risk, your team also has to protect operations, make decisions and communicate with customers. We help you prepare for those business pressures, not just the technical event.
Downtime and lost revenue
Your staff may be unable to work, orders may stall and customer commitments may slip while costs continue. We help you identify recovery priorities and decision authority in advance, so uncertainty about who acts or what comes first does not add avoidable delay.
Reputation and customer trust
Your customers need reliable information when something goes wrong. We help you establish communication owners, approval routes and a process for working from confirmed facts, so your team is better prepared to communicate under pressure.
Legal exposure and difficult decisions
Your team may need to preserve evidence and address possible notification obligations or contractual questions at the same time. Email compromise can cause payment fraud or expose data even while systems remain online. We help you plan how leadership, IT and counsel will coordinate those decisions.
Who can authorize containment? What must come back first? Who calls your insurer and counsel?
Make those decisions before the incident.
THE COST OF DISRUPTED OPERATING TIME
The longer work is disrupted, the more is at stake.
While people search for a plan, wait for authority or disagree about priorities, business disruption can continue. Put a financial value on that time before you have to make decisions under pressure.
Choose a daily impact range in Canadian dollars. This illustration uses the selected range throughout; it does not assume a precise daily amount.

PREPARE TO LIMIT THE DAMAGE
BreachReady helps reduce downtime and financial loss.
Clear decision-makers, practical plans, rehearsed teams and coordinated specialist support help contain incidents sooner, reduce avoidable delay and keep recovery focused on what matters most.
Choose the daily range carefully.
Use unrecoverable contribution margin plus genuinely additional costs caused by disruption during one of your operating days. Finance and operations should validate the inputs and exclude overlapping normal payroll or overhead.
Keep the wider consequences in view.
One-time response and legal costs, payment fraud, data exposure, customer churn and longer-term confidence effects sit outside this chart.
The durations are illustrative operating-day scenarios, not predicted recovery times. This chart does not measure BreachReady performance, forecast losses or predict savings.
DFI does the heavy lifting so you can focus on running your business.
You do not have to build and run the readiness program yourself. We develop your plan, facilitate the exercise and guide improvements, with focused input from the people who know your business.
Bring experience into the response.
Our responders and forensic specialists help you establish what happened, preserve available evidence and make informed containment and recovery decisions within the agreed scope. We explain the findings so your leadership, IT team, counsel, insurers and communications advisers can coordinate their work.
Your team contributes business context, key decisions and focused participation. Leadership retains authority; your IT team or provider carries out agreed technical work.
Whichever level you choose, we lead the same core planning, practice, testing and specialist response preparation. We help your team agree its authority, use its playbooks and rehearse decisions, with the aim of limiting avoidable disruption and supporting a coordinated recovery.

We keep your plans, milestones, response-hour usage and outstanding actions visible in your client portal. Monthly reporting, threat intelligence, plan reviews and an annual readiness review help you see what has changed and what needs attention.
Your shared readiness record
Tell us what an incident could interrupt. We will help you plan the response your team needs.
Our initial objective is to give your team a tailored plan, practical playbooks, agreed specialist support and experience using them together.
* The 30–60-day objective depends on agreed scope, access to information, your team’s participation and exercise scheduling. Response-Ready means the four core capabilities are complete. Testing, mitigation and ongoing improvement continue through the annual program.
Find the gaps
At Risk
No core response capabilities are confirmed complete. Critical decisions and specialist activation may depend on improvisation.
Close the gaps
Developing
Some core capabilities are complete. Remaining gaps in the plan, playbooks, specialist support or rehearsal still need to close.
Ready to act
Response-Ready
Your response plan, playbooks, specialist arrangements and tabletop are complete. Your team has a coordinated response to put into action.
30–60-day objective*
Sustain and improve
Resilient
Core readiness plus completed testing, verified remediation and BEC and ransomware mitigation. Maintain it through continuing review and practice.
We review your critical services, current plans and response gaps with you, then agree priorities and decision owners.
02
Put the response in place
Build
We build your tailored plan and playbooks, bring the essential contacts together and establish your route to specialist help.
03
Test the decisions together
Rehearse
We guide your leadership and IT team through a tabletop, helping you test decisions, identify gaps and assign improvements.
04
Keep improving all year

We carry the annual program forward through testing, mitigation guidance, remediation tracking and reviews with your team.
TANGIBLE WORK. VISIBLE PROGRESS.
A clear view of the work. Less work keeping track.
We carry the readiness work forward and bring your plans, progress and next actions together in your client portal. You can see what is ready, what is still open and where your team’s input is needed.
We guide the reviews and help you decide what comes next.
BUILT AROUND THE TEAM YOU HAVE
Your IT team keeps running the business. We help prepare it for an incident.
We help your leadership, IT team, MSP, counsel and insurers agree how they will work together. Our specialists support the team you already have, with clear responsibilities for the response.
A strong fit when you need to:
Protect continuity across critical business services
Give leadership clear decisions and responsibilities
Test a plan that has never been rehearsed
Establish specialist help before an emergency
We work with businesses, professional organizations, municipalities and education institutions. We shape the scope around your systems, the services you depend on and the people who will respond.
We help you choose a level by considering your network, people, locations and business exposure, alongside your insurance arrangements and the response capacity you want in place. The options below are starting points for that conversation, not a substitute for agreeing your scope.

THE SAME CORE PROGRAM
Essential Readiness
If you have a smaller network, fewer people and endpoints, and fewer locations, we can use Essential Readiness as a starting point. It can also fit when you have cyber insurance for major incidents and want practical preparation, risk reduction and pre-arranged hours for smaller incidents.
If your mid-sized organization has a more complex network, more people or endpoints, or multiple locations, we can explore Advanced Readiness with you. Its larger allocation of pre-arranged hours may be useful when you do not already have incident-response support through cyber insurance.
If disruption could have a significant effect on your operations or reputation, we can discuss Complete Readiness. It provides our most extensive standard testing scope and response capacity, suited to larger organizations seeking a greater investment in risk reduction and preparation, including those without existing cyber coverage.
Every level includes the same core program. Your tier reflects response capacity and testing scope, not how low you score on an assessment. Your written agreement confirms scope, activation, hour use, additional work and renewal.
THE TEAM BEHIND BREACHREADY
Forensic discipline. Business perspective.
BreachReady is delivered by DFI Forensics. Founder Tyler Hatch is a digital forensics practitioner and former civil litigation lawyer specializing in commercial disputes. He founded DFI in 2018.
We bring that perspective to your program, connecting technical findings with the decisions your leadership, IT team and advisers need to make.
What if we don’t have a cyber incident? What can we use our hours for?
You can choose to use your included hours toward any digital forensics service DFI provides, as well as cyber incident response. That includes employee and HR investigations, internal investigations and regulatory investigations.
We already have IT support or an MSP. Why add BreachReady?
We work alongside the people who already know your systems. DFI provides specialist incident response, forensic investigation and readiness support; your IT team or MSP implements agreed technical changes and restoration, and your leadership retains business decisions.
We already have an incident response plan. Is that enough?
We start by looking at what your plan already does well and whether your team can use it under pressure. Then we agree the work you need: current contacts, clear authority, rehearsal, testing, specialist access and continuing review. You do not need to rebuild useful preparation simply because you join the program.
We have cyber insurance. Where does BreachReady fit?
BreachReady adds risk reduction, practical preparation and pre-arranged response capacity alongside your insurance. It can support smaller incidents as well as preparation for major disruption. Coverage, insurer notification and approvals depend on your policy; we consider those arrangements with you when defining scope.
How quickly can we establish core readiness?
Our initial objective is to establish your core response plan, playbooks, retainer arrangements and tabletop in 30–60 days. We agree the schedule with you around scope, access to information, your team’s participation and exercise scheduling. Testing, mitigation and improvement work continue through the annual program.
DON’T LEAVE THE FIRST DECISION TO THE INCIDENT.
Put your response in place now.
Tell us what an incident could interrupt and where your team needs support. We will help you understand the preparation, rehearsal and ongoing improvements that fit your business, before you need to put them into action.
