WHO WE SERVE

Trace the digital records behind an estate dispute.

Help estate litigation lawyers examine authorized communications, document provenance and chronology across relevant devices and accounts.

YOUR PRIORITIES

Make the work relevant.

Start with the questions, dependencies and decisions specific to your situation.

01

Authority and access

Confirm who may instruct the work and which sources can lawfully be examined.

02

Document provenance

Examine available versions, metadata and the context of relevant documents.

03

Communications and chronology

Bring related exchanges and digital events into an understandable sequence.

01

Define the records and the authority.

Identify relevant devices, accounts, documents and participants with counsel. Access to a deceased person’s or another party’s data requires appropriate authority; technical feasibility is assessed rather than assumed.

02

Place document history in context.

Examine available communications, versions and metadata to help explain where records came from and when relevant events occurred. Document the limits of timestamps and attribution. Technical findings do not themselves establish testamentary capacity, undue influence or a document’s legal validity.
